Echo Base was The ForceCast's weekly (originally bi-monthly) "water-cooler" Star Wars discussion program, featuring conversations about issues big and small. It was initially hosted by The ForceCast co-host Erik Blythe, along with Eric Geller and Louis Secki.
When The ForceCast (network) closed its doors on March 12, 2016, Echo Base (along with The Sabacc Table and The Outer Rim) relocated to Erik's RandomChatter Podcast Network where it continues with hosts Erik Blythe, Louis Secki, and Chris McGuffin.
After moving to the RandomChatter Podcast Network, its format changed slightly. The show opens with coverage of the top news items when applicable. If the news items are major enough, those items are discussed in depth. Otherwise, the second half of the show focuses on the "water-cooler" discussion it's known for.
