  • Star Wars in Pop Culture
    • Carrie Fisher was interviewed on a TV show called Spoilers about her Star Wars filming experience. "I got to saw that "f**ker's head off," she said of the technique she used while strangling Jabba in Episode VI.
    • In a vintage documentary about the creatures of the Original Trilogy, Carrie Fisher pronounces the name "rancor" as "ranker," just like Jimmy's uncle. She also runs through a list of the aliens in Return of the Jedi, including "Squid Head," Ree-Yees, and "Yak Face," saying she "worked with all of them."

    • George Lucas will appear at the EAA AirVenture show in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, where he and the surviving members of the Tuskegee Airmen will screen Red Tails.

    • Toledo police are looking for a man who robbed a bank while wearing a Darth Vader mask. There were no injuries reported and the man fled the scene on a BMX bike.
    • Last November, a Ukranian man dressed as Darth Vader requested a free land plot from the Odessa mayor's office, "citing Ukrainian legislation which grants every citizen the right to own 1,000 square metres of land."
