We are back in the studios with a fresh, new episode of The Weekly ForceCast. This week, we get a recap of CVI from Digital Stage host David Collins, we discuss who could know the secret identity of Darth Vader in The Original Trilogy, and we review Star Wars LEGO: The Empire Strikes Out. Plus, The ForceCast makes it's mark during a wedding toast and Star Wars fan dad Gaston Leyack tells us why babies love John Williams!

  • David Collins
  • Gaston Leyack

  • Jimmy plays audio from the speech that he gave at his brother Bill's recent wedding. In the speech, he references Billy Mac's appearances on The ForceCast and the two brothers' shared love of Star Wars.
  • Jason and Jimmy interview Gaston Leyack, whose wife recorded a video of their infant son calming down and ceasing to cry when he heard the Star Wars Main theme.
  • The two hosts discuss the content that they released during their post-CVI hiatus from recording Weekly ForceCasts.
  • Jason, Jimmy, and David Collins discuss Celebration VI, from the special and secretive "Young Jedi" screening to Kyle Newman's "Smuggler's Gambit" audio drama.
  • After the David Collins segment, Jimmy reads part of a recent correspondence with Sam Witwer. He and Witwer were discussing whether or not Grand Moff Tarkin knew that Darth Vader used to be Anakin Skywalker. Witwer presented compelling evidence that Tarkin would have known. This leads to a long discussion between Jason and Jimmy about who else knew: Owen and Beru (Jason says Obi-Wan wouldn't have wanted to reveal how badly he screwed up); Padme's family (Jason says Obi-Wan would have spared them that additional grief); Breha Organa, Bail's wife (Jason says "you tell your wife everything"); and Leia Organa (Jason thinks not).
  • On this subject, Jimmy plays a clip from a ForceCast interview with Dave Filoni on April 15, 2011. In the clip, Filoni concludes that Tarkin would know that Vader used to be Anakin.
  • Jason and Jimmy discuss the second LEGO Star Wars special, which aired last week on Cartoon Network. Michael Price, who wrote the special, also wrote an episode of Star Wars Detours.
